Congratulations to Paraskevas Koukaras on achieving his PhD!

“As a PhD student in Data Science, my research focused on interdisciplinary research approaches for knowledge extraction in the domains of Social Media, Energy and Healthcare, while also being a research assistant at the Information Technologies Institute (ITI) of the Centre for Research and Technology – Hellas (CERTH).

Over the last years, I have participated in H2020 EU projects engaging in demand response technologies and microgrid formation for improved decision-making regarding decentralized, community-driven energy ecosystems and prescriptive analytics for increased energy efficiency and well-being in residential buildings.

My scientific interests include data analytics (descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, prescriptive), machine learning, information modeling, association rule mining, sentiment analysis, forecasting, multi-layer information networks, graph mining and hybrid functionality algorithms. My research has been disseminated in various prestigious International Journals, Conferences and Books.

I am also very proud of being a member of International Hellenic University’s Data Mining and Analytics Research Group and the Hellenic’s Artificial Intelligence Society (EETN) and an active reviewer in various International Journals and Conferences.”

Well done Paris!
